January 24, 2014  14:00
Just In! The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Centre and Delhi government on a PIL filed on the recent agitation by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP supporters.

The apex court will decide whether constitutional post-holders can resort to an agitation in violation of the law.

The apex court asks the Delhi police why an unlawful assembly of people was permitted despite prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC being in force.

The court says it wants to know whether the police acted appropriately to get the unlawful assembly dispersed.
