TRS moves privilege motion against Andhra CM
January 23, 2014  22:45
The TRS today moved a privilege motion in the Andhra Pradesh assembly against the chief minister for "misleading the House" and going back on his word by opposing the draft AP Re-organisation Bill-2013 that provides for the creation of a separate state of Telangana.

TRS MLA K T Rama Rao moved the motion when AP Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy rose to continue his speech on the draft Bill today afternoon.

Recalling the AP chief minister's statement on the floor of the House on February 20, 2011 -- that he would implement the government of India's decision on the bifurcation issue -- Rama Rao alleged that the chief minister has gone back on his promise.
