A day after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called off a dramatic 33-hour street protest, rebel Aam Aadmi Party leader Vinod Kumar Binny on Wednesday described the 'dharna' as a move to protect Law Minister Somnath Bharti, who has come under scanner for ordering the midnight raid on the house of a Ugandan woman. .

Addressing the media, the Laxmi Nagar MLA lashed out at Bharti, saying that the people who misbehave with women should be put behind bars

Binny, who last week called Kejriwal a 'dictator', described the protest held by AAP as an attempt to save the Law Minister. Whosoever it is, everyone is equal before the law, and action must be taken against people misbehaving with women, Binny exhorted.

He demanded that Bharti's should be sent on leave as the two Delhi Police officials so that an impartial probe is conducted. Binny also said that the law minister should be asked to resign by the Kejriwal government.
