Priyanka wants Congress to revive ties with DMK
January 15, 2014  09:29
From a correspondent in Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi has apparently suggested to Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad that the party should try to revive its ties with the DMK.

She has pointed out that the DMK had supported Congress President Sonia Gandhi in 2004, when she had been facing flak over the issue of her foreign origins.

Priyanka also shares a cordial relationship with DMK leader and 2G accused Kanimozhi. She has reasoned that Kanimozhi was made an accused in the massive corruption case, and subsequently arrested, due to "legal reasons".

Her arrest had nothing to do with the Congress, believes Priyanka.

She has also urged Congress leaders in Tamil Nadu to refrain from criticising the DMK.
