Dalit Panther founder and poet Namdeo Dhasal passes away

Namdeo Dhasal, poet and one of the founders of the Dalit Panther movement, lost his battle to cancer in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Dhasal's most famous works include Moorkh Mhataryane, Tujhi Iyatta Kanchi, Khel and Priya Darshini.

Dhasal was one of the most prominent representatives of the Dalit Panther movement in India.
