Onus of running Parliament smoothly lies with govt: BJP

The BJP today said the government may have lined up several Bills for passage in the forthcoming session of Parliament but the onus of smooth functioning of the House lies on the government.

He alleged that members of the ruling party themselves have been disrupting proceedings.

"The government is bringing so many Bills in this session of Parliament. Was it sleeping for the last nine years? The last session saw Congress MPs walking into the Well of the House and disrupting proceedings. They also moved a no-confidence motion against the government," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.
