Tragedy averted as Metro starts moving with open doors in Kolkata

Barely a day after an air-conditioned rake developed a snag throwing services out of gear for nearly 45 minutes, a Dum Dum-bound train started from Shyambazar station with two of its doors open. This happened around noon on Wednesday. The rake was a conventional one and when the motorman detected the fault before it entered the tunnel fully, he reversed the train and brought it to the position from which it started.
