No plan for rehabilitation of Indian expatriates on return: Ravi

The Centre does not have any plan to rehabilitate expatriates returning to India, Minister for Overseas Indians Vayalar Ravi today said.

He was replying to a specific question from a participant in Pravasi Bharatiya Divas here who sought to know whether the union government had programmes for rehabilitating the returnees affected by 'nitaquat' policy in Saudi Arabia.

"The government of India does not have any plan to rehabilitate the persons.... There is no programme for the rehabilitation for anybody coming from any part of the world to India," Ravi told the gathering.
