Justice Ganguly: Did not force law intern to dine or wine with me
January 08, 2014  13:47
Justice (Retd) AK Ganguly's first interview since he resigned from the WBHRC to CNN IBN's Rajdeep Sardesai. He says he has nothing to be ashamed of and the only reason he resigned is to uphold the dignity of his family and the WBHRC office.

He says at no point did force the law intern to have dinner with him or drink a glass of wine with him. He ask why did she complain 11 months later. "If she had felt uncomfortable, she could have walked out of the room. There are no charges against me, only allegations," he says.

He loses his cool when Rajdeep asks him if he normally offers a glass of wine to interns who work with him.

He also maintains he did not follow the girl to the lift.

He says the SC has no jurisdiction over a retired judge and the whole thing was organised to defame me. The Visakha guidelines on sexual harassment at the workplace do not apply here, he says.
