Tehelka case: Court order on Tarun Tejpal's bail plea today

Goa district and sessions court will on Tuesday give its order on Tehelka former editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal's bail plea in connection with sexual assault case. 

Former Tehelka editor Tejpal, who was arrested on November 30, 2013, after a junior colleague accused him of sexual assault during a conference held at a Goa resort, has already spent over a month behind bars, both in police as well as judicial custody.
 
The journalist is presently lodged in Sada sub-jail in the port town of Vasco, 35 km from Panaji, as prisoner number 624. 

The initial FIR on November 22, 2013, was registered suo-moto against Tejpal and he was charged under Sections 354, 376 and 376 (2) (k) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for sexual harassment and rape. 

Later, the police added Section 341, Section 342, Section 376 (2) (f) and Section 376C of the IPC.
