Justice A K Ganguly resigns as chief of WBHRC

Former Supreme Court judge Justice A K Ganguly, under fire over allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him by a law intern, has resigned from the post of the chairman of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission.

Justice Ganguly submitted his resignation to Governor M K Narayanan.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court had refused to entertain a PIL seeking its direction to stay all proceedings against Justice Ganguly.
