Choose words with care, Pawar tells PM over comment on Modi

In a veiled attack on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over his comments on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that one must choose their words carefully and should not use such strong language against political opponents.

"Be it an ally or an opponent, I choose my words carefully. Whether I am in support of someone or not, he said," Pawar said.

However, defending the PM, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said that what he said was merely the truth. "I respect Sharad Pawar but the PM spoke the truth," he said.

Dr Singh had in a press conference on Friday said that Modi as PM would be disastrous for India.
