Buddhadeb slams Mamata for opposition to Teesta water treaty

Criticising his successor Mamata Banerjee for opposing the water sharing treaty with Bangladesh, former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today asked whether her party wanted unrest and fundamental forces to prevail in the neighbouring country.        

"We all want good relations with our neighbour Bangladesh. We don't want communal forces and anti-India forces in Bangladesh. We want a India friendly and secular Bangladesh," said Bhattacharjee, a CPI-M Politburo member.
