PM concerned over increasing crimes against women and children

Amid rising incidents of crimes against women and children, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has expressed concern over the "growing phenomenon" and expressed hope that future training will help new police officers to better deal with the problem.        

He also cautioned young IPS officers to overcome the "temptation to ride roughshod over human rights" and stressed on the need to provide emphasis on protecting human rights in police training.
