Seemanto Roy, Subrata Roy's on says his father is cooperating with the police as per the directions given by the Supreme Court. "Misconceptions are being created about Sahara. Subrata Roy willfully surrendered before the Lucknow police. Sahara has always put the reputation of the country before the company. My father returned to Lucknow to be with his ailing mother. Despite this, Roy and Sahara's reputation has been tarnished," says Seemanto.

Seemanto reiterated that Subrata Roy had willfully surrendered and trashed media reports that he had been absconding.

The Supreme Court will hear Roy's case on March 4, and till then he will remain in police custody.
