The UPA government is to take a call on the next government in Andhra Pradesh today, reports the Times of India.

This was announced by AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh after the party central leaders interacted with Seemandhra Congress leaders on Tuesday.

Digvijaya also said that the consultation process on the merger of Congress and TRS is over and that only the seat-sharing remains to be finalized.

He also said that two new PCC chiefs for the two new states will be announced in a week. However, late in the night, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said no discussions had taken place on the merger of his party with Congress.
