Security has been tightened ahead of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's scheduled visit to the state on Tuesday.

Gandhi is scheduled to come to Assam for a two-day tour from February 25. He will have a meeting with senior journalists, followed by a public rally on the first day.

On Wednesday, the Congress leader would hold a road show and go to Diphu in Karbi Anglong to discuss various issues of the tribal district.

At least 10 people were injured when militants triggered two blasts in Assam's Kamrup district on Monday evening, a day ahead of Gandhi's visit.

The blasts took place at the crowded Gasbari daily market near Baihata Chariali.
