Nitish, assembly speaker behind RJD MLAs' revolt: Lalu
February 25, 2014  10:38
A day after some of his MLAs announced they were resigning from the party, RJD chief Lalu Prasad has hit out at rival Nitish Kumar, who he claims is poaching his MLAs.

"Nitish Kumar ek number ka ghatiya insaan hai. He along with the Speaker are misrepresenting the facts to break the RJD. Dorey daal raha hai (influencing MLAs). Ye vibhaag de raha hai, woh vibhaag de raha hai (allotting departments to MLAs). Hum batayenge.. aaj toh sara din mera kaaj karam rahega (I will tell all soon)," Lalu told media persons.

The JDU, however, has denied Lalu's charges. "JD(U) is not trying to split RJD. Many members move from RJD to JD(U) and vice versa. Our membership is somewhat transferable," KC Tyagi said.

On Monday, 13 of the RJD's 22 MLAs announced they were quitting. However, hours later, six of them returned to the party fold claiming that their signatures had been forged to claim their support.
