February 24, 2014  10:19
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has vowed to remove the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the Valley.

Taking a strong stance against the deployment of army personnel in Kashmir, Abdullah claimed that the AFSPA was no longer needed as militancy had come down by 70 per cent in the state.

He also claimed that the army was often responsible for rumour mongering in the Valley.
