I miss Sunanda every day: Shashi Tharoor

In his first interview since his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death in a New Delhi hotel room, junior minister for human resource development Shashi Tharoor said he has not been allowed to grieve in peace and said there were unfortunate attempts to politicize his personal tragedy.

Tharoor, speaking to a TV news channel, said he wasn't allowed to grieve despite a massive personal loss. "It has been painful five weeks. Sunanda's loss has taken a severe toll emotionally. Sunanda's son and father had stood by me... (but) we were not allowed to grieve in peace," said Tharoor.
