Can cops file complaint about pepper spray, knife in LS?

Ponnam Prabhakar, Congress MP from Telangana, has given a written complaint to the Delhi Police against the two MPs who had allegedly used pepper spray and carried a knife in the Lok Sabha while opposing the Telangana Bill.

The complaint was lodged at Parliament Street police station last week, police said.

However, as the incident took place inside Parliament, Delhi police have sought a legal opinion on whether a First Information Report can be lodged in this regard.
