TDP MP apologises for manhandling RS secretary general

Rajya Sabha reconvenes after an adjournment. TDP MP CM Ramesh apologises for manhandling the secretary general during the morning session, but ruckus continues in the house. The house drops action proceedings against Ramesh after his apology.

Ramesh had tried to snatch papers from the Secretary General, whose spectacles were dislodged in the scuffle.

The MP would have been suspended for the day but for his apology.

"You can't attack the staff. Very unfortunate," said PJ Kurien, who was presiding over the Rajya Sabha.
