Goa CM dismisses Tejpal's allegation

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today rubbished allegations of political vendetta levelled by Tehelka Founder Editor Tarun Tejpal, who is facing charges of rape, saying that if he is indeed innocent, he has to prove that in the court.

"If he (Tejpal) is innocent, then he has to prove it to the court," Parrikar told reporters while reacting to Tejpal's statement.

Tejpal, while alleging political vendetta, had claimed that the exact truth would be known only after viewing the CCTV footage sourced by Crime Branch from the hotel.
