No bail for rape accused Tarun Tejpal, in jail till March 4

Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal's bail hearing today has been adjourned for till March 4. Tejpal who was chargesheeted yesterday by the Goa police for raping a female colleague in a lift in Goa said there was a political vendetta against him. "I am being victimised," he said.

Seventy nine days after arresting Tarun Tejpal, the Goa Police Crime Branch filed the chargesheet in the court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Panaji, on Monday, accusing the former editor of Tehelka of rape under the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013, and several sections of the IPC.
