Hazare meets Mamata

Social activist Anna Hazare today met Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, amid speculation that he will back the West Bengal chief minister as the prime ministerial candidate.

Senior leader and party general secretary Mukul Roy came to New Maharashtra Sadan, where Hazare has put up, to escort the anti-graft leader to his residence, where the meeting between him and the West Bengal chief minister took place.

However, Roy and Hazare refused to say what transpired at the meeting.
