PM, Sonia refuse to congratulate Chidambaram after Budget presentation

After reading out the interim budget, finance minister P Chidambaram had hoped that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh or Sonia Gandhi would come to his seat and congratulate him for the successful presentation of the Budget. Not only did that not happen, the customary handshake or pat on the back was absent as well. It is a Parliamentary tradition for the leader of the house to compliment the finance minister on the budget.
