February 12, 2014  20:11
The latest round has been set off over the last week's appointment of The Prime Minister's Office will make a statement in Parliament making its position clear on the controversy over the appointment of senior CBI officer Tamil Nadu batch IPS officer Archana Ramasundaram as Additional Director in CBI.

The PMO will tell Parliament how the solicitor general's legal view was taken to post Archana. Why the CVC was keen on one particular officer, why the CBI director rejected one name from five member panel.  There's no scam is what the PMO says.

A suo moto statement will be made by Minister of State for PMO V Narayanasamy in both houses of Parliament on Thursday.
