FDA chief to visit India soon

The Commissioner of America's Food and Drug Administration Dr Margaret Hamburg will undertake an eight-day trip to India soon to meet with prominent people from the government and the pharmaceutical industry.

The FDA is seeking to intensify its presence in India, which is the largest overseas manufacturer of drugs used in the US.
