T.a.T.u., Pop duo with Lesbian image, set to play at Winter Olympic opening

The opening ceremony at the Winter Olympics on Friday will feature floating cathedral domes, giant magic horses, and the music of a Russian pop duo that built its image around being lesbian.

Word of the appearance of the duo, t.a.T.u., has caused a stir given the controversy in recent months over a law that bans so-called gay propaganda among children.

Details of the opening ceremony are a closely guarded secret. But two people familiar with the matter say Russias team will enter the stadium to the music of t.a.T.u, made up of Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova.
