India's Shiva Keshavan @ Sochi Olympics but without a flag

The tri-colour will not furl at the Sochi Winter Olympics, which will begin today. India is not officially represented at the Games a it is suspended by the International Olympic Committee after it refused to ban corruption-tainted officials from running for elections.

However, Indian luger Shiva Keshavan will be participating in the Olympics, but without a flag. He will all race under the Olympic flag in Sochi.

"If I cannot represent the country," Keshavan said, "at least I can represent the countrymen," he told AP.
