Mumbai police, who are probing the murder of software engineer Esther Anuhya, have "unofficially" announced a Rs five lakh cash reward to anyone providing information about the man spotted with her in a CCTV footage from Kurla Railway Terminus on the day she went missing.

The blurred photo of the man extracted from CCTV footage has already been distributed among informers.

A senior Crime Branch officer said, "Informants have been activated and told that they would be rewarded Rs five lakh in cash if their information leads to the arrest of the murderer. Any citizen providing valuable information leading to the accused's arrest will also be rewarded."
