Tharoor to make first public appearance since wife's death

Shashi Tharoor, Union minister of state for the human resources development ministry, will address a conference on Literacy through Literature at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi on Thursday.

This will be the first public appearance for Tharoor after the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.

Sunanda was found dead in mysterious circumstances in a five-star hotel in Delhi on January 17.
