Now, Maharashtra govt gives nod to Shivaji statue

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has said that the state cabinet has cleared the proposal to build a giant statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji in Mumbai.

The 100 crore project is stated to rival the giant statue of Vallabhbhai Patel, Narendra Modis pet protect in Gujarat.

Chavan said that the Maharashtra government has chosen the exact location in the megacity where the statue will be erected.
