Student kills teacher, policeman at Moscow school

An unidentified student, armed with a rifle, gunned down a teacher and a policeman inside a school in Moscow on Monday.

The student managed to enter the school after threatening the security guard with a rifle.

He then took a group of nearly 20 students, all of them teenagers, hostage.

The student opened fire at police personnel who responded to the security guard's call. One policeman was killed in the gunfire and another one was injured.

The student subsequently released most of the hostages.

He was later forcibly removed from the school by security forces and taken into custody.
