Patience is wearing thin: US warns Lanka
February 03, 2014  12:15
Nisha Biswal, the Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, has clearly stated that the Obama administration was "frustrated" by the slow pace of the reconciliation process initiated by the Lankan government.

"I will say that while our strong preference has always been for a Sri Lankan process to unfold, I have also very clearly noted that lack of progress in Sri Lanka has led to a great deal of frustration and skepticism in my government and in the international community. And as I have said, patience is wearing thin," Biswal told a group of Lankan journalists during her visit to Colombo.
