PDP leader and the person likely to be the next CM of Jammu and Kashmir says she had an informal meeting with the governor after he invited her to meet him at the Raj Bhavan today.

She said the mandate in the state has been decisive, but divided. "The PDP has the mandate for Kashmir, but the BJP has mandate for Jammu," she said.

When asked about the likelihood of a tie-up with the BJP, she said, "We don't want to cobble up a government. PDP is not in a hurry to grab power. We have updated the governor on our plans. We want peace and reconciliation. The diplomatic process begun by Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be taken forward. Political agenda is the key for us. You cannot have development without peace. The development mandate of PM Modi is possible only if it goes along with the vision of Vajpayee. Vajpayee's initiative and PDP's agenda must go forward," Mehbooba said.
