Pakistani troops violate ceasefire again
December 25, 2014  19:01
Pakistani troops indulged in small arms firing along the border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir for the second consecutive day today, drawing retaliation from BSF.

Pakistani Rangers resorted to unprovoked small arms firing in forward areas in Pansar border out post belt of Hiranagar sub-sector of Kathua district around 1:30 PM, a senior BSF officer said.

BSF troops, guarding the borderline, replied to the Paksitani firing, resulting in brief intermittent exchanges, he said.

"There was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing exchanges," he said.

This is second ceasefire violation in the past two days. The Pakistani troops had yesterday targeted the forward areas in Pansar BoP.

They had targeted border areas throughout August this year and for over 15 days in October, killing 11 people and leaving over 100 injured. Over 32,000 people were also displaced.
