Delhi municipal schools shut till Jan 15 due to cold

Schools under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation will be closed from today till January 15 next year, in view of the extreme cold in the city.

The national capital has been reeling under intense cold cold conditions and today both minimum and maximum temperatures settled well below the normal mark.

In a mobile text message circulated through media, Director (Press & Information) of NDMC, Yogendra Singh Mann said, "North Delhi Municipal Corporation declares winter vacation from December 24 to January 15 next year, due to extreme cold weather."

Intense fog conditions also affected normal life and disrupted rail and air traffic.
