Stormy day ahead in Parliament; fate of Insurance, Coal bills hangs in balance
December 22, 2014  09:29
With just two days remaining in the ongoing Winter session of Parliament, the fate of the government's economic reform agenda, particularly the Insurance Bill, hangs in the balance with some opposition parties continuing to disrupt the Upper House over the religious conversion issue.

The Parliament, Monday, particularly the Rajya Sabha is likely to witness huge uproar over Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat and senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia's strong pitch for Hindu awakening and described India as a nation of the Hindus.

The Opposition in Rajya Sabha, where the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party is in minority has been at the forefront staging strong protests against the government over issues like religious conversion and Sadhvi Niranjan and Sakashi Maharaj's remarks.
