Modi threatens to quit if Sangh fronts don't behave, reports say

Upset with a bevy of controversies spawned by members of his own party and the extended Sangh parivar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been reported by the Marathi newspaper Maharashtra Times as having threatened to resign if the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh does not immediately rein in such leaders.

According to the report, the threat comes after several controversies involving statements made by BJP MPs and re-conversions carried out by the extended Sangh parivar marred the image of the government and interrupted the working of the Upper House of  Parliament for several weeks.
