Atletico de Kolkata defeated Kerala Blasters 1-0 and became the first champions of the Indian Super League at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Saturday.

Super substitute Mohammad Rafique headed the all important goal in extra time off a corner kick.

Backed by co-owners Sourav Ganguly (Atletico de Kolkata) and Sachin Tendulkar (Kerala Blasters), the final was a cracker of a contest.
