When Dinesh Trivedi took Venkaiah Naidu to Mamta for a dialogue
December 18, 2014  21:03
It was Trinamool Congress member Dinesh Trivedi who brought in Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the central hall of Parliament.

Mamata was engrossed in a serious discussion with NCP leader Praful PatelPraful Patel in a corner. It was an interesting meeting, considering the fact that Mamata was not scheduled to meet any such leader and the TMC has been in the forefront of disruptions in the Rajya Sabha.

But before Naidu could start a dialogue, Mamata started a polite conversation on the health of a rather frail looking Naidu, who had undergone a surgery similar to the one conducted on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

The 5-minute meeting did not go beyond exchanging pleasantries. Even Naidu took no initiative except exchanging niceties. The winter session is becoming  a washout thanks to the TMC.
