LeT commander Zaki ur-Rehman Lakhvi's lawyer Rizwan Abbasi rubbishes the Pakistan PMO statement that there was a technical error in granting the bail. Lakhvi's lawyer says that the bail has been granted on merit. "If government opposes his bail, I will fight the case. Lakhvi will be released from jail in two to three days," his lawyer said.

Lakhvi and six others had filed bail applications on Wednesday even as lawyers were observing a strike to condemn the terrorist attack on an army-run school in Peshawar that left 148 people, mostly children, dead.

Pakistans federal investigation agency prosecutor disagreed with the bail request, however Lakhvi's advocate stood before the court as the bail was approved, the Dawn reported.

The seven accused -- Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum -- are facing trial at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
