India calls upon Pakistan to immediately take steps to reverse the decision to grant bail to LeT terrorist Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi.

The government asserted that there can be no selective approaches to terrorism. The grant of bail to Lakhvi will serve as a reassurance to terrorists who perpetrate heinous crimes.

"Given the scale of the tragedy Pakistan faced in recent days, it is incumbent on it to realise no compromise can ever be made with terrorists. India can't accept that Zakiur Lakhvi, a key conspirator of the Mumbai attacks and a UN designated terrorist, is being released on bail," the ministry of external affairs said.

MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said, "99 per cent evidence for 26/11 is in Pakistan, the 1% we have has been handed to Pakistan. It is incumbent on the government of Pakistan to provide us that evidence."
