Govt: Ready to start discussion on conversion issue right now

PM Narendra Modi is in the Rajya Sabha seated next to finance minister Arun Jaitley. The opposition has been relentless in demanding the PM's statement on the conversion issue.

Jaitley says the government is ready to discuss the issue right now. And yes, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is also in Parliament, or rather outside the House, holding an impromptu presser. She says she is in Delhi to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, who has been unwell.
