The brother of the Indian who was one of the hostages at the Sydney cafe has confirmed that he is safe and out of any harm's way. Bheero Dhtta Reddy said, " I have seen my brother, he is safe." Vishwakant Ankireddy, an Indian working for Infosys was one of the many who had been taken hostage by Man Haron Monis, a self-declared cleric, who has a long list of criminal charges against him. Infosys had earlier issued a statement saying that they had informed the family of the hostage.

Even the government has confirmed that the Indian who was part of the hostage situation was safe and sound.
