'Kiss protest' at the venue film festival

A few delegates of the ongoing 19th International Film Festival of Kerala today staged a 'kiss protest' at the festival venue here to protest against increasing incidents of 'moral policing' in the state.

Protesters raised slogans against 'fascism' and indulged in 'kiss' in front of the Kairali theatre, the main venue of the festival.

However, when a group of persons objected to the 'kiss protest', police, deployed in large numbers near the theatre intervened and brought the situation under control.

"We are tired of the moral policing happening in the state', one of the female protesters said.
