In a joint statement with PM Modi, Russia's Vladimir Putin said, "We held constructive talks on a whole gamut of issues. We intend to deepen economic ties and scientific and technical cooperation. We are content with how the visit is being conducted and the outcome of the visit."

"We have placed emphasis on trade and economic issues."
