The Maharashtra government has banned Uber and Old cab services after directives from the Centre.

Maharashtra Transport Minister Diwakar Raote will made a statement in the assembly today.

Delhi and Hyderabad have banned Uber after the rape of a 23-year-old passenger on Friday. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh advised all states to stop the operation of web-based taxi services.
