India, Russia sign pacts on armed forced training, atomic energy

India and Russia today signed 16 agreements on cooperation in various fields -- health, armed forced training, oil and gas and atomic energy, among others. Prime Minister Narenndra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met a Delhi's Hyderabad House.

This was Putin's first summit with Prime Minister Modi at a time when Russia is at odds with the West over Ukraine. The Russian President landed in Delhi last night for a 22-hour visit.
